Joelle Thompson is a journalist, wine writer and author. She has judged at wine shows regularly since 1995 - mostly in New Zealand but also in Australia and South Africa. Joelle is currently working as both a wine writer (NZ Winegrower, Drinksbiz, Capital and Good magazines) and as a wine advisor at Regional Wines & Spirits, Joelle writes and tastes wines from around the world on an (almost) daily basis. Having written her first wine column in 1994 she is the author of 16 wine books (published by New Holland and Harper-Collins), including 10 annual best-selling wine guides.
